Being Thankful

Dear Lord, thank you so much for another day of life on Earth. Thank you for another beautiful sunrise to enjoy. Thank you for the wonderful sounds of nature, from the cool breeze brushing through the trees to the birds singing melodies. You are a wonderful God, full of grace and mercy. I praise you for allowing me another day to spend with my family. I love you Father! Amen.

Strength

Dear Lord, I pray that you would give me strength to be strong for You in the world today. Lord, you know the struggles that I will face today. Be with me as I go through them. Carry me if I am too weak to move. If I stumble in them, forgive me Father. When I succeed in them, I will praise You! You are worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.

Family

Dear Gracious Father, I praise You for my family. Thank you for my spouse. Even in his/her weaknesses, I love him/her unconditionally. Thank you for my children. Every time I hear the pitter-patter of their feet across the house I smile. Joy overwhelms me Father! Be with my family today as they go their separate ways. Bring us all back home safely to each other I pray. Amen.

Career

Dear God, I thank you for my job. You have provided me with a steady income and I thank you. I pray that you watch over me today at work and I pray that there are no accidents, so that everyone can go back to their homes. I thank you that my job has provided an income to support me and my family. I thank you for the provisions that you have given to me, my house, car and food. I pray for safe travels to and from work and I pray that you will use me as you see fit today for Your Glory. Amen.

Contentment

Dear Glorious Father, I pray that I will stay focused on you today. I pray that You will constantly remind me to be content in all of my circumstances. I pray that You will fill me up that I may be joyful all day, even if stress creeps in. I know that through my contentment, You will be glorified. I want to honor You, Father, in all that I do. I praise Your Holy Name! Amen

Opportunities

Dear Lord, I pray today that I will yield my spirit completely to You, that You may use me as You please. I pray that You will provide me opportunities to show people how much You mean to me. Give me discretion to know what to say and how to say it. Make me bold enough, that I may proclaim salvation cheerfully and joyfully. I pray that the seeds You allow me to plant will grow and mature. I pray that You, Father, will water the seeds that You allow me to plant today. I am forever grateful for the cross; may I proclaim it in a contagious way today. Amen.

Prayer to Begin the Day:

“Lord, I thank You for this new day. I offer You all that I will do and think and say, uniting it with the intentions of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who offers Himself in the Eucharist for the salvation of souls. Help me to live this day in accordance with Your will. Amen.”

Prayer for Guidance:

“Heavenly Father, as I begin this day, guide me in all my thoughts and actions. May Your wisdom direct my decisions, Your love steer my heart, and Your strength support me in all my endeavors. Bless me with Your grace throughout this day. Amen.”

Prayer for Strength:

“Lord, grant me the strength to face this day with courage and confidence. Help me to remember that You are with me in all that I do, guiding me, supporting me, and granting me the resilience to overcome challenges. Amen.”

A Daily Morning Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for this day.
I thank You for my being able to awake once again, to see, and to hear this morning.
I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You continue to bless me.

Please forgive me every day for anything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to You, and I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
Let me continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil.
And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive Your forgiveness.
And when this world closes in on me, let me remember the example of Jesus — to slip away and find a quiet place to pray.
It is the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits.

Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak.
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those who are lost and can’t find their way.

I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don’t know You intimately.
I pray for those who don’t believe, and I thank you that You are in my heart and that I do believe and have true faith in You.

I believe that You change people and You can change all things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers, and for each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love, and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.

I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.
This is my prayer, and I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.

Amen.

A Morning Prayer

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.

Most holy and adorable Trinity, one God in three Persons, I believe that Thou art here present; I adore Thee with the deepest humility, and render to Thee, with my whole heart, the homage which is due to Thy sovereign majesty.

O my God, I most humbly thank Thee for all the favors Thou hast bestowed upon me up to the present moment. I give Thee thanks from the bottom of my heart that Thou hast created me after Thine own image and likeness, that Thou hast redeemed me by the precious blood of Thy dear Son, and that Thou hast preserved me and brought me safe to the beginning of another day. I offer to Thee, O Lord, my whole being, and in particular all my thoughts, words, actions, and sufferings of this day. I consecrate them all to the glory of Thy name, beseeching Thee that through the infinite merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour they may all find acceptance in Thy sight. May Thy divine love animate them, and may they all tend to Thy greater glory.

Adorable Jesus, my Saviour and Master, model of all perfection, I resolve and will endeavor this day to imitate Thy example, to be, like Thee, mild, humble, chaste, zealous, charitable, and resigned. I will redouble my efforts that I may not fall this day into any of those sins which I have heretofore committed (here you may name any besetting sin), and which I sincerely desire to forsake.

O my God, Thou knowest my poverty and weakness, and that I am unable to do anything good without Thee; deny me not, O God, the help of Thy grace; proportion it to my necessities; give me strength to avoid everything evil which Thou forbiddest, and to practice the good which Thou hast commanded; and enable me to bear patiently all the trials which it may please Thee to send me.
Amen.

Men and Women Overseas

Dear Merciful Father, I pray that you would keep your hand on our men and women defending our country so that we can be free. Be with our soldiers as they go onto their assignments. Bring them back to base safely. I praise you for our brave men and women! I thank you for our brave men and women! I also pray that you give them the skills that they need in every moment, so that they can come back home safely to their families. Amen.

An Act of Faith

O my God! I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three Divine Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; I believe that Thy Divine Son became man, and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, who canst neither deceive nor be deceived.

An Act of Hope

O my God! Relying on Thy infinite goodness and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Thy grace, and life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer.

An Act of Charity

O my God! I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou art all-good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of Thee. I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.

An Act of Contrition

O my God! I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.
Amen.

O Holy Virgin, Mother of God, my Mother and Patroness, I place myself under thy protection, I throw myself with confidence into the arms of thy compassion. Be to me, O Mother of mercy, my refuge in distress, my consolation under suffering, my advocate with thy adorable Son, now and at the hour of my death.
Amen.

O faithful Guardian and Father of virgins, blessed Joseph, to whom was confided the care of Jesus, and of Mary the Queen of Virgins, I most humbly supplicate thee, by the love thou dost bear Jesus and Mary, to obtain for me that, being preserved from every stain during my whole life, I may be ever able to serve them with unspotted purity of mind and body.
Amen.

May the power of the Father govern and protect me! May the wisdom of the Son teach and enlighten me! May the influence of the Holy Spirit renew and quicken me! May the blessing of the All-holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be with me, now and for evermore.
Amen.

Morning Prayer of St Francis

St Francis of Assisi (1182-1226)
Lord, help me to live this day, quietly, easily;
to lean on your great strength, trustfully, restfully;

to wait for the unfolding of your will, patiently, serenely;
to meet others, peacefully, joyfully;
to face tomorrow, confidently, courageously.

Amen.

The Morning Offering

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer
You all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this
day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the
intentions of all my associates, and in particular for the
intentions of the Holy Father this month.

Amen.

Prayer of Daily Service

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve our fellow men throughout
the world who live and die in poverty and hunger. Give
them through our hands this day their daily bread, and by
our understanding love, give peace and joy. Make us, Lord,

worthy to serve our brothers and sisters who are scattered
all over the world, who live and die alone and poor. Give
them today, using our hands, their daily bread. And, using
our love, give them peace and happiness.
Amen.
