  1. Notes on Healing based on Mark 1:40‐45:
    1. First, you must really want to be healed.
    2. Plead to Jesus to heal you.
    3. Really believe that Jesus wants to heal you despite your sinfulness.
    4. Believe that you would be healed.
    5. Thank God and make an offering for the healing.
If God is in us and in our hearts, we could be healed at once, or if God wills, we could be in a process of healing. To those who believe, nothing is impossible with God. Of course, we also do our part to be healed by listening to Him (in silence) and following Him. God communicates to us through our mind, through others, and through what happens in our lives.

  2. It is interesting to note that upon the invitation of Jesus, the fishermen apostles Peter, Andrew, James and John “at once” left their occupation and followed Jesus. The apostles have simple minds and were mainly uneducated…We are called by Jesus every day to follow Him (to live Jesus’ words–Jesus is God’s Word made flesh) through our mind, words, and actions. In terms of life priorities, are we putting God first, or are we overcome by the world through materialism, power hunger, our personal attachments…or has our occupation taken first priority in our lives? To know and follow God, we have to have simple minds, uncluttered by our worldly knowledge, uncluttered by our image of ourselves and others, uncluttered by our accomplishments. We are likewise invited by Jesus to have a personal relationship with God , to live his words in our daily lives.

  3. It is the nature of Jesus to always go to a place where he could be alone and pray (to talk with God). To follow Jesus, we also need to find time to be alone and talk with God. To be alone is to be free of the things that fill our mind specially our Ego…that is to empty our mind so that God can talk with us and that God could heal us…mind, body and soul…that is to “cleanse us from our sins”, and that God would bless us. The extent and duration of our healing depends on our how large our faith that God would heal us.
