All Souls’ Day Prayers

All Souls’ Day, observed on November 2, is a special day set aside by the Church to remember and pray for all the faithful departed.
We commend their souls to God’s infinite mercy, that they may be purified and welcomed into the joy of Heaven.
These prayers are offered in loving remembrance of all who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith.

Prayer for the Faithful Departed

O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant to the souls of Your departed servants
the remission of all their sins,
that through our devout prayers,
they may obtain the pardon they have always desired.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Deceased Family Members

Loving Father,
we remember in Your mercy those whom You have called from this world.
Welcome them into the light of Your presence,
and grant them eternal peace and joy in Heaven.
May we one day be reunited with them
in the glorious company of Your saints.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Souls in Purgatory

Eternal Father,
I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses said throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the universal Church,
those in my own home, and within my family.
Amen.

Short Prayer for the Departed

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
Amen.

Prayer for All the Departed Souls

Lord Jesus Christ,
who suffered death and rose to eternal life,
we commend to You the souls of all the departed —
especially those who have no one to pray for them.
May Your mercy cleanse them of sin,
and bring them to everlasting joy in Your presence.
Amen.

Rosary Intent for the Departed

We offer this Rosary, O Lord,
for the repose of the souls in Purgatory.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of Mercy,
intercede for them,
and bring them into the radiance of Your eternal light.
Amen.

Litany for the Holy Souls

Lord, have mercy on them.
Christ, have mercy on them.
Lord, have mercy on them.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for them.
St. Michael, intercede for them.
All holy angels and saints of God, pray for them.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
