Prayers Before Going to Bed

Before ending your day, spend a few quiet moments in prayer with the Lord. These prayers will help you reflect, give thanks, and rest in God’s love as you sleep. Choose one or more prayers to guide your heart tonight.

1. Night Prayer of Trust

Lord Jesus,
As I rest tonight, I place my heart in Your hands.
You know the burdens I carried today, the joys and the mistakes.
Forgive what was weak, bless what was good, and heal what was hurt.
Let Your peace guard my thoughts, and may Your mercy renew me for tomorrow.
Amen.

2. Prayer of Gratitude

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this day — for every breath, every smile, every grace unseen.
I thank You for guiding me even when I did not notice.

3. Prayer for Protection at Night

O Lord, my Refuge and my Strength,
watch over me and my loved ones this night.
Send Your angels to guard our home,

4. Marian Night Prayer

Mother Mary, gentle and pure,
wrap me in your mantle of love tonight.
You who held the Child Jesus close,
hold my heart near yours as I sleep.
Intercede for me, that I may wake with peace,
ready to walk with your Son again tomorrow.

Lord,
Into Your hands I commend this day and all that I am.
Teach me to rest in Your will and to trust that You work all things for good.
