Baltimore Catechism No. 2 – Lesson Second on God and His Perfections

Q13: What is God?

A13: God is a spirit infinitely perfect.

Q14: Had God a beginning?

A14: God had no beginning; He always was and He always will be.

Q15: Where is God?

A15: God is everywhere.

Q16: If God is everywhere, why do we not see Him?

A16: We do not see God, because He is a pure spirit and cannot be seen with bodily eyes.

Q17: Does God see us?

A17: God sees us and watches over us.

Q18: Does God know all things?

A18: God knows all things, even our most secret thoughts, words, and actions.

Q19: Can God do all things?

A19: God can do all things, and nothing is hard or impossible to Him.

Q20: Is God just, holy, and merciful?

A20: God is all just, all holy, all merciful, as He is infinitely perfect.
