First Reading: Isaiah 43: 16-21

Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. (18)

I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (19)

As children of the most high God, we are assured of God’s mighty hand in our lives. We must yield to him in spirit and mind completely. We will see the way in the wilderness and the rivers in the desert in our daily lives.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 126: 1-6

The Lord has done great things for us and we rejoiced. (3)

Amen!

Second Reading: Philippians 3: 8-14

I press on toward the goal of the prize of the heavenly call of Christ Jesus. (14)

In and through Christ we have hope for a divine future. We must stay strong in faith and hold onto to Christ’s boat.

Amen!

Gospel: John 8: 1-11

Go on your way and from now do not sin again. (11)

Christ beckons us and commands us to proceed in the way he has shown us. May we persevere until the end and reach him in spiritual victory. The peace that surpasses understanding will guide our hearts on our journey.

Amen!
