Today is a day of silence. Christ lies in the tomb. The disciples wait in grief and confusion. The Church keeps vigil in hope.
This is the quiet before resurrection.
Bible Verse of the Day
” It is good to hope in silence for the Lord’s deliverance.” – Lamentations 3:26
A Prayer of Silent Hope
Lord Jesus,
Today the world is still. The tomb is sealed. The voices of Friday have faded into silence.
The disciples did not yet understand what was coming. They sat in sorrow, unsure of what the future held.
There are moments in my life that feel like Holy Saturday. Prayers unanswered. Hopes delayed. Silence where I long for clarity.
Teach me to wait in trust. Help me remain faithful even when I do not see immediate victory. Strengthen my hope when circumstances appear final.
You were not defeated in the tomb. Even in silence, redemption was unfolding.
When my life feels uncertain, remind me that You are still at work. When I sit in darkness, assure me that dawn is near.
As I wait on this holy day, deepen my trust in Your promises. Prepare my heart for the joy that is coming.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
