A Prayer for Courage in Trial
Lord God,
You stood beside Your servants in the fiery furnace. You did not remove the flames, but You protected them within the trial. Your presence turned fear into courage.
I confess that I often ask to be spared from difficulty rather than strengthened within it. When challenges arise, I grow anxious and uncertain.
Grant me courage in times of testing. Help me remain faithful even when obedience is costly. Remind me that You walk beside me in every trial.
When I feel overwhelmed, assure me of Your nearness. When my faith is challenged, deepen my trust. Let suffering refine my character rather than weaken my commitment.
As Lent prepares me for the mystery of the Cross, teach me to endure hardship with hope. May I never doubt that You are present, even in the fire.
Through Christ our Lord.
