Today we are reminded to place our trust fully in the Lord. The prophet Jeremiah speaks of the one who trusts in God as being like a tree planted by water, strong and unshaken.
Lent calls us to examine where our confidence truly lies.
Bible Verse of the Day
” Blessed are those who trust in the Lord; the Lord will be their trust.” – Jeremiah 17:7
A Prayer of Trust
Heavenly Father,
You are faithful in every season of my life. Yet I confess that I often place my trust in temporary things, in my own plans, in security, in the approval of others.
Forgive me for the times I have doubted Your providence. Forgive me for allowing anxiety to overshadow faith.
Teach me to trust You completely. Root my heart deeply in Your promises. When circumstances are uncertain, let my confidence remain firm in You. When fear rises, remind me that You are my refuge and strength.
Like a tree planted by living water, may my faith remain steady through every trial. Nourish my soul with Your grace. Strengthen me against discouragement.
This Lent, deepen my trust. Help me surrender control and rest in Your loving care. May my hope be anchored in You alone.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
