Midweek in Lent reminds us that conversion should not be postponed. God is patient and merciful, always ready to forgive those who turn back to Him sincerely.
Today we respond to His call without delay.
Bible Verse of the Day
“The people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth.” – Jonah 3:5
A Prayer for True Conversion
Merciful Father,
You are slow to anger and rich in compassion. You do not desire punishment, but repentance and renewal. Yet I confess that I sometimes delay my response to Your grace.
I grow comfortable with habits that distance me from You. I postpone change, telling myself there will be more time. Forgive me for my hesitation.
Open my heart to sincere conversion. Give me the courage to examine my conscience honestly. Reveal the areas of my life that need transformation.
May my fasting not be superficial. May my prayers not be routine. May my sacrifices not be empty gestures. Transform my exterior practices into signs of genuine interior renewal.
Convert my thoughts, my desires, and my habits. Replace indifference with zeal and complacency with love. Help me respond immediately to Your grace instead of waiting for convenience.
Let this day mark real spiritual growth. I trust in Your mercy and choose to begin again.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
